Practical Course Prof. Dr. Ian T. Baldwin

Identification of small molecules by HPLC-MS/MS and HPLC-ToF.

Jan 27/28, 2010, with Ian Baldwin, Arjen vanDoorn

This 2-day short course will over an overview of the different forms of
liquid chromatography mass spectrometry, and discuss the relative merits
of two types of instruments available in our lab: TOF and triplequadrapoles
This theory will then be applied in practice; the students will answer a
biological question by analyzing plants for pathogen-related small
molecules. The goal of the course is to give students an insight into
the possibilities of LC-MS techniques and how these can be used
successfully to answer biological relevant questions.
