Microbial life under anoxic conditions

Ecology of anaerobic dehalogenating microbial communities

The number of participants is limited to 8 students.

Students will (i) determine the degradation potential of environmental samples using cultivation techniques and instrumental analysis and (ii) determine the community structure in the samples using DGGE of PCR amplified 16S-rDNA and/or FISH.
