We will meet us in front of the institute on Monday, 16th, at 9.00 a.m.

In this course a short overview on diagnostic methods in medical microbiology will be presented.
Seminars on respiratory, sexually transmitted, and intestinal infections will be given, and lab work will proceed to the following topics:
1. Cultivation of bacteria on differential media and rapid identification of pathogenic species
2. Cultivation of viruses and chlamydiae and identification by immunofluorescence staining
3. Demonstration of serological methods for the detection of specific antibodies
4. RNA isolation, reverse transcription, and RT-PCR

The number of participants is limited to 10 students.
