Analysis of protein-DNA interactions using electrophoretic mobility shift assays
March, 21st - 22nd, 2011

Organizer: Dr. Susanne Nolden and Dr. Rainer Melzer

Max. number of participants: 6

Theme of the workshop:
In this course, various aspects of protein-DNA interactions will be analyzed using gel electrophoretic mobility shift assays. We will especially focus on techniques used to determine the specificity and affinity of protein-DNA interactions. Other issues like protein-induced DNA-bending and DNA-looping will also be addressed.

Location: Friedrich-Schiller-University, Dept. of Genetics, Philosophenweg 12
