Interactions and regulatory networking of MADS-domain transcription factors in model plants

Abstract:
Regulatory networks involving MADS-domain transcription factors control plant development and evolution. To better understand the developmental and evolutionary dynamics of plant form we want to determine the physicochemical interactions on which the regulatory networking of MADS-domain proteins is based. Towards that goal, protein-protein and protein-DNA interactions involving MADS-domain proteins will by analysed in vitro, in yeast cells and in planta.
